It would be great to hear you opinions on publishers *cough* EA *cough* closing down servers and making games unable to complete.
ReplyDeleteMost notable one coming up is the shutdown for Madden NFL 10 and NHL 10 coming up on October 1, 2011.
For me, if it is for leaderboards or service announcements (e.g. Simpsons), I am cool with it, but when there are achievements, it sucks. I have seen games come out on Games on Demand that are broken (e.g. Lord of the Rings: Conquest). I am also starting to wonder about games such as NHL 11 that require you to pay for an online pass - does this mean that this time next year NHL 11 will be shutdown because NHL 13 is being released?
