Achievement Bounty 7-29-2010

945 is currently the max you can get in NBA2k8 Japan so, I can't take it any further. There goes my perfect in NBA games gamerscore. I guess I'm still perfect in the Wrestling genre. Which is what the NBA is becoming. *Cough MIAMI HEAT Cough*

Completed Game: Prison Break

The 1,000 gamerscore points is great, not to mention very easy. Less than 10 hours for sure. This might of been a gateway to watching the show. The only two good things about this game.

3 of those heads play on the same team now. Combined total championships of the heads=7. Kobe has 5 of those. If you still doubt that this guy is the greatest player of the new generation, I don't know what else to say besides, get some basketball knowledge. If the Lakers happen to win it all next year, Kobe will have 2 3-peats. Who else did that? Oh yeah, some cat named Air Jordan.

Achievement Bounty 7-26-2010

Prison Break was on my list as one of the easiest games that I've yet to take on. It is really easy, but also very boring. Never watched the show, but the game is no good.

Completed Game: Velvet Assassin

One game that does live up to its title. Double ass.

Achievement Bounty 7-25-2010

Wolfenstien had this terrible game ending glitch when it first came out and it hit me hard. It would just lock up on the load screen when trying to progress, nothing seemed to work. I only had two levels to go when this devil bug struck and I didn't want to start over. I thought the glitch would be taken care of in a timely manner because of how devastating it was to the game. Well, they fixed it. I'm happy about it. I got the rest of my stuff done, now I just have to go back and beat it with dying less than 3 times. Not sure if I will tackle that now or later. One thing that struck me while playing this again, I need to play a good FPS shooter asap. I would consider Wolfenstien a good FPS, I just want more.

The Party Chat Podcast * Coming real soon*

Last night Fro, Omega, Rand, and myself recorded the first episode of the Party Chat Podcast. It was recorded, of course, in an xbox live party chat. TBD how the sound quality will be. It didn't go without fault. We lost the final 40 or so minutes, so we still have to go back and wrap it up sometime today. Not sure exactly how long it was, but it was long. Look for that within the next few days.

Bi-weekly was the plan, but we are trying to push Fro to get one out every week. Look for lots of guests and other things coming soon.

Majinfro is doing all the leg work with the editing and omega is providing the beats.

Sample of the intro.

Achievement Bounty 7-24-2010

Not too much going on. This is the kind of crap I play when there is nothing good out. The fall line-up can't come quick enough.

Achievement Bounty 7-23-2010

I ended up with 960 in N3 II due to achievement description fail.

Master chameleon - Obtained character color variations for all characters.

Which really means collect all character color variations. I was only missing a couple but I was so burnt on it. I'll venture down that path when I play it again sometime in the future.

Achievement Bounty 7-22-2010

Still plugging away at N3 II. A few more online missions to go and two more story's to complete before I get to 980. I'll eventually get it to 1,000, but it might be a while. I'm still not going to say N3 is a good game. I like it, but I don't think many people will. It's mindless hack n slash.

Casually strolling through Race Pro at the moment.

Achievement Bounty 7-21-2010

Boo for repeat achievement tiles. They put about the same effort into making Race Pro. A simulation racer not really worth your time, but easy achievements. Some long online ones in there, so beware. Still enjoying Ninty-Nine Nights II. It is getting somewhat repetitive already but I don't mind it. The online mode is actually kind of fun. I just wish the main game would've had coop through-out. If I had a nickle for every time I've said that, I would have a Washington burning a hole in my pocket. Step up your coop game developers! Stop giving us little chunks to nibble on. We are being treated like gerber babies.

Achievement Bounty 7-20-2010

Ninty-Nine Nights II: I'm digging it at the moment, but it will get repetitive going for every single achievement. You have to complete it once with every character, then again on hard with every character. There is also a coop mode separate from the main story were you will find about 9 achievements you have to do there. Looking forward to trying that out. I'm probably shooting for 980 for this one. I do like it better than the first.

Completed Game: Tory Story 3

It really does take 8-10 hours just to complete toy box mode. In my case, maybe a little longer. There are 103 stars you have to acquire, I had all but 7 of them. One for completing all the missions in Sid's area, 10 pict-o missions, 15 more mission races won with bulls-eye, and 3 collectibles. I was basically done.

The final mission I thought was needed for Sid's haunted house area was to make a ghost pirate and he would give you a mission on the spot. I turned my brave pirate into a ghost and as soon as I did, that little bitch got smashed into the ground by a golem. You can see a mission giver around the map because they emit a big ray of light. His ray of light was coming from underground. I thought I was had. I went around looking for this prick of a pirate for hours. Eventually, I found out that you can do another mission and you will get credit for doing all the missions in Sid's haunted house area. About an hour or so after that, Ghost pirate piss pants walks up to me with said mission looking and singing like this.

I dressed him up like a girl, shrunk him, and then threw his ass in the lake.

Moral of the story is, I am the nub for not making a backup save.

Achievement Bounty 7-19-2010

All from Toy Story 3.

I figured out that I'm going to be taking Need for Speed: Shift to the house.

Completed Game: Cars: Race-O-Rama

Garbage game. Around 6-7 hours. All easy. Still missing the achievement for getting all the achievements and I have all the achievements. DONE!

Completed Game: Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11

Every single year we get a brand spankin' new Tiger Woods game. Every single year they improve. This year is no different. This is the best golf game on the 360. I enjoyed it a tremendous amount, so much so I don't remember how long it took to complete. This is a shot in the dark but I'm going to say 15-20 hours. Another reason I don't remember is because I've basically been done for a while now. I had to wait for EA to put a video up for the couch potato achievement. Talk about a bunch of couch potato pricks!

Achievement Bounty 7-17-2010

Cars: Race-O-Rama - Looks exactly like the other cars games and still handles like crap. Especially the monster truck game and the Kart racing game. Not a very good game as you could imagine but extremely easy gamerscore to be had. Be warned though, the achievement for getting all the achievements is glitched. So you are looking at 900 MAX with this one.

Toy Story 3 - A great kids game. The story mode is really short, but Toy box mode makes up for that. Toy box is a free roam mode where there seems to be a lot going on. You can build a town, mess with the town people and their looks. The same towns people give you missions and tasks which progresses the story to different areas. A lot of collectibles are in this mode, but it doesn't seem too bad. The rest of the achievements I have left have to be done in Toy Box. I've heard it takes anywhere from 8-10 hours to complete it. Seems like a lot.

Achievement Bounty 7-16-2010

Dark Void PC is glitched for everyone I believe. I wish I would've looked that up before I spent 2 hours ramming other UFO's. 2 achievements that are:

Demolition Derby - Collide with another UFO 10 times.
Fireworks - Kill 10 airborn enemies using grenades.

I wasted a good bit of time trying and cussing at those. I warmed up to Need for Speed Shift, which I think is pretty dang good. Still no Forza, but nothing is. I just don't know how far I'm willing to go with NFS. I may unlock a few more then move on to greener pastures.

Gears of War 2 20X XP event

It all goes down during comic-con which starts July 22nd. This will make getting to level 100 a breeze. I just couldn't keep my mouth shut about people getting to level 100 during normal XP. Karma is a bitch! Now I know how this feels.

I'll be sure to hold hands with Chromehounds while I'm burning in hell.

Achievement Bounty 7-15-2010

The only new game I played was Toy Story 3. I didn't get very far in but it seems strong for a kids game. I have to admit one thing, I am not a huge fan of animated movies. Never even seen any of the Toy Story movies. The only thing I know about it is, Forest Gump, Home Improvement, and the dude from The Princess Bride.

I've tried quite a few times to watch animated stuff but I always fall asleep. It's not just animated movies, I never really liked cartoons that much. Who needs Saturday morning cartoons when you have HBO? . Although, there was one cartoon I did like past the age of 10, Eek! The cat.

Games that WILL Melt your face

Test Drive Unlimited 2

I might be in the minority with my overflowing love for Test Drive Unlimited but it was a riot. I'll be trying to convince everyone I know on XBL to pick up the sequel. The second one has a lot of potential because they have a foundation for excellence already laid out. Let's hope they deliver. It's my second most anticipated game coming this fall. Release date: 9/21/2010

Made by Atari. ATARI!

Don't call it a comeback / I've been here for years.

Achievement Bounty 7-13-2010

Dark Void PC - POS glitched on me on during the load screen. Hopefully if I go back and play the level it froze on, I will be awarded with my bounty.

MLB 2k10 - I only played a single game but I really like it. Seems like the best sim baseball game on the 360.

NCAA Football 2011- The game just seems more fluid and the change to the menu system is a huge plus. Look at all those repeat achievement tiles. Lame.

Need for Speed SHIFT - Trying so hard to be Forza, but not even remotely close. It's still better than all the other crap NFS games.

Completed Game: Crackdown 2

It will have DLC at some point (can't wait) but for now its complete. I enjoyed my time with it.

Achievements should take 30-40 hours.

The elusive Mid-summer classic achievement is obtainable at this point in MLB 2k10. Run out and get your copy NOW because after today, chances are slim that you will ever be able to get it again. A chance may come around again next year, but you will be playing with fire.

Plastic Sandbox

I'm pretty much completely done with Crackdown 2 at this point. All the smoke has cleared and the dust has settled. What we have here is a game that is only made for messing around and collecting things. You don't want your coop buddy jumping higher than you, so you go and collect more orbs. You don't want him kicking you around like a rag doll, so you crush mutated freaks up with various objects so you become hulk like. The game has no story, even worse than the first. If you did like the first one, you will like this one. The fun is greatly increased while playing in coop.

I remember having that turtle like sandbox when I was a kid. You play in a sandbox to have fun and create your own fun while using your imagination. Same goes for Crackdown 2. A game with a story isn't always for the best. In some cases, it leaves no room for any alteration. The thing that bugged me the most was the city. It's the same as the first! I really hope Crackdown 3 gets created, but you have to believe they will create a different world. Ultimately, Crackdown 1 captured my imagination more because I was scaling uncharted territory. Back to the turtle sandbox, Crackdown 2 is the box, the city is the sand. Crackdown 2 shouldn't read "sand not included" but "comes with used sand."

All the achievements will take you anywhere from 30-40 hours. Two of them will require 4 people, so make sure you leave an easy stunt ring available so you can get the party bus achievement without hassle.

I do Chuck Woolery proud

Yesterday I finished up yet another Japanese sim dating game, Memories off 6: Next Relation. Another game that takes around 2 hours to complete. I also did the double scoop with Sherlock Holmes and got both the American and European versions done. That game takes around 7 hours and you might find some enjoyment in it if you like point and click adventure games. It's ho hum in my book.

I still have a lot of work to do in Gears of War 2 if I want to gain any ground. Sitting on level 59, I just need to hammer away at it before the the 8X XP vanishes like a fart in the wind.

By playing these sim dating games, I feel like I'm keeping the Chuck Woolery legacy alive.

Music makes anything EPIC

Someone made a boring video of my profile, but put music to it. EPIC! An ant crossing the road could be epic with the right music. This proves it.

I rode the CHU CHU train

The CHAOS;HEAD らぶChu☆Chu! train that is. It's one of those strange Japanese dating sim games. If you can get your hands on it, you will be awarded with an extremely easy 1,000 gamerscore in around 2 hours. I also did some double dipping with Sherlock Holmes. Today was cheap gamerscore day. I'll take it any way I can get it. I may do some Gears 2 later. I just realized I had CHU CHU muted the entire time I played it, maybe that was the best move, but not quite as sweet as these moves.

Wake up

I'm really enjoying LEGO Harry Potter now, I couldn't put it down there for a bit. Dare I say the best LEGO game so far? Possibly. I wouldn't call myself a big Harry Potter fan at all, but I do enjoy most of the movies. I'm currently sitting on 27 achievements earned for 740. The rest is just collecting stuff and there is a lot to collect. 200 gold bricks, 20 red bricks, 167 characters, 96 crests, and 50 strangers to save. I may skip out on getting the rest of those achievements for now. My rough estimation for the full 1,000 is at least 20 hours.

I also took Sherlock Holmes vs Jack the Ripper for a Sunday drive. Nothing special, but better than I thought it would be. It seems like a very easy game to boost that score. I may play a little more of it tonight.

Move along is how you could describe my gaming mood at the moment. I look back far too often and I end up wearing myself down on some old crap game. On the flip side, i'm starting to pick up the pace a little better now, hopefully I can maintain. Still anxiously awaiting the arrival of Crackdown 2 next week which can't come soon enough.
