The MachiNe team makes the playoffs in H2H GSL

Console Heroes has been running a gamerscore league over the past 6 weeks. The MachiNe team is lucky enough to be in the thick of things which kicks off this weekend. Thursday through Sunday I should be scoring out of my mind. We go up against two other teams and the team with the most points squares off against a singular team from the other bracket in the finals. That would be held the following weekend. Hopefully we can make it all the way. There is no doubt that this will be a dog fight. It seems we've been the target all season and I don't see that changing. I will post the scorecards on here when it kicks off so you can follow the blood bath if you choose to do so.

I've been preparing by having a low dose of gaming, lots of water and bathing in methyl & butyl thiols (skunk juice). I recommend our competition do the same, especially the skunk juice part.

While we wait for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield Bad Company 2, or the online shooter of your choice. Why not get a mini bite of online gaming with Battlefield 1943? At 15 bucks it has a good price point. Sure, it only has 3 maps with the 4th one unlocking once the community kills reaches 43 million (scroll down the page a little for the counter) The achievements overall are fairly easy to get. 100 online games played will take a good chunk of time since games last anywhere from 15-20 minutes. You are looking at around 33 hours to get the all achievements. A tasty appetizer while we wait for the the main course indeed.




UPDATE: Don't buy it yet, it is basically unplayable due to the lack of dedicated servers. Wait a couple of days.

Milk does a gamerscore league good

I am having a good time in the Console Heroes GSL. In past gamerscore leagues I only had new releases to play so it was quite the task to put up points at a high rate. This time around I have a backlog of games to choose from due to slow play since I hit 300,00. I have been sticking to my swiss cheese method and it has proven to much more enjoyable . Overall this GSL has been a lot less stressful and I will probably be doing it again in the future. Gamerscore leagues are only fun if you have something to milk.

That is what I have been focused on for the past 3 weeks. The league runs for another 5 weeks, that is if we make it to the final round. Go machiNes!

Stallion83: I'm not sure if there is a shooter that excludes achievements like " Beat Level 1 on Veteran".To answer your question, I like the gears achievements the most. 1 or 2.

Where in America is Stallion83?

I like to travel and go on trips so why not unlock achievements while I'm in different States? That's the plan, to unlock a single achievement in every single State in the USA. All 50 before I reach 1 million.

First state is Florida, Daytona Beach to be exact. This was just an experiment and a sudden idea. I didn't have my video camera with me so I had to use the digital camera therefore, the quality isn't that great.





The achievement I unlocked was from Need for Speed Undercover. The achievement was Bay Drive & Harbor.

So there you have it 1 down & 49 to go. Well 48 left with Tennessee included. I wish I would've got Hawaii last summer, I don't feel like flying that far again. :(

I may just be ringing your door bell soon so have some hot pockets and a sleeping bag ready.

Kobe Bryant will be on the cover of NBA2k10

I am a big fan of the 2k series, I have played every single one since it started out on the Dreamcast. NBA2k9 was great, I really liked how the game played but the team up mode (5 on 5 online) needs to be beefed up quite a bit. The ability to create a franchise with 5 people on your team would be awesome and a few tweaks here and there would make the mode amazing.

I am also a huge fan of Kobe Bryant so this is great news to me. Kobe's quest for his 4th NBA Championship starts tonight.

It was only 15 months ago when I shouted to the streets that Kobe was just as good if not better than Michael Jordan. Since that time Kobe won MVP of the league, won a gold medal, two NBA finals appearances, and a recorded breaking 61 point performance at Madison Square Garden. Not too shabby, but he still has work to do to become the greatest.

Guinness World Record

A week or two ago I was contacted by Gaz, the records manager for The Guinness book of world records. Apparently I will be included in the 2010 gamers edition for having the highest gamerscore in the world. From the look of things, the 2010 book will be released sometime early next year. I'm not quite sure how big the feature will be, but it's pretty cool that Gaz contacted me about the whole thing. At first I thought it was some hoax so of course I did my research.

So needless to say I was very excited about receiving a record for something that I enjoy doing. I don't know how long I can hold the record, Never less, I am going to One Million. Maybe 1 million will be the Guinness world record in 2016.

Hopefully this will spawn other Guinness World Records as far as achievements and gamerscore goes. Most points in one day and so on.

I was going to wait until this thing released before I mentioned it, but that is so far off. I told a few about it when I was first contacted.

Hardest achievement: Winner level 3: Win 1,000 matches or basic weapon handling level 3: 10,000 kills.





Prince of Persia: 44 achievements won worth 960.
Estimated time for full 1,000: 12-15 hours
Difficulty for 1,000: 5/10
Game rating: 8/10 If it had better sword play and more than 5 enemies this would be a 9. I love the graphics style and running around like a monkey the best.
Achievement rating: 8/10 With the auto update you don't have to worry about two achievements that would probably give some troubles. Beat the game in 12 hours achievement and being saved less than 100 times.
Hardest achievement: Light seeds master: Congratulations, you have collected 1001 light seeds.

The Maw:1 achievement worth 20 points I bought the speeder Lane level for 100 Microsoft points. I was very disappointed with this last DLC level.

Back from a slight hibernation

I've been trying to save my mojo for console heroes upcoming Gamer Score League (GSL) that starts up in mid June. If you have a team and you are interested in such a thing, sign up your team here. If you don't have a team and you want to be placed on a team, sign up is here for individuals. Before you do either, please read the rules so you know what is going on.

The MachiNes are back..sorta. Two new members are joining this time. Smrnov, tjayars, A completionist, and myself. I think we have a team that can win it all. I always tell myself that I won't do these things anymore, but I always end up doing them. I see it as extra motivation and another push to get me to that 1,000,000.

200 retail games are now complete. The DLC may be missing in some of those, but original achievements in 200 games are completed. I think I did that sometime last week with the completion of Wanted.

The Nba playoffs is another reason I've been MIA for the most part. I've been watching as many games as possible. The most exciting series thus far would be Boston vs Chicago. Boston is really hurting without KG. It looks like the Lakers and Cavs might be on a collision course to meet in the finals. GO LA! Play some defense and that championship is yours.

So look for me to be more active in gaming, blogging, and on twitter. Also look out for achievement specific game reviews coming soon.

Slow week

I've been playing a lot of Gears of war 2. Consistently inconsistent is what you will find with extended online play. It pisses me off more than any game in the history of all games. It is just a broken experience that will probably never be addressed. I've still found a way to have fun with it, but gears of war 3 has a lot to prove. I love horde, I love co-op, but online play is a disaster no matter how you slice it. The new experience system is all right, it takes over 6 million experience to reach level 100. I am currently at level 31. I would say it takes around 500 hours to get to level 100.

Do not play MLB 2k9. What the hell is up with 2k servers? When did EA buy 2k? I kid. Another frustrating game that I've been working on. I finally have most of the cards done,just a few more things until I am completely done with it.

Monsters vs Aliens is the bright spot compared to gears of war 2 grinding and collecting stupid MLB cards. It is a very simple kids game that doesn't have you collecting a bunch of crap. Sure, you have to collect DNA, but it is everywhere. The big deal will be getting those last few achievements because you WILL have to grind. It is a pretty fun game though. I enjoy the bob levels the best. I usually hate these kids games but I like this one. It could be the concept, I dunno.

Things will pick up for me soon. Riddick and The Godfather will make me happy.

Coming clean

I have not been honest with everyone over the years. This is what all the haters and cheaters have been waiting for. I am coming clean. I did not obtain all my gamerscore alone. I had someone else helping me out. I am sincerely sorry to everyone I lied to or believed in me. Maybe my close friends can find a way to forgive me, but I know everyone else will turn on me in a heartbeat.
