Stallion Doin' Work - The Stage is Set

Round Two Starts Monday Night

An update on two challenge days:

On Thursday night a sick (literally and figuratively)  Kobe scored 31 points in a game 6 loss against the Denver Nuggets which set the stage for a winner-take-all game 7 to be played in La La Land.

Friday was my challenge day to match the points that Kobe scored in achievements unlocked. I did pass the challenge; earning 32 achievements across 6 different games.

The winner-take-all game 7 was played on Saturday night at Staples Center in Los Angeles California. Kobe scored 17 points in a win over the Denver Nuggets and The Lakers move on to play the Oklahoma City Thunder in Round 2 which begins on Monday night. The challenge lives on for at least another 4 games with this victory.

Sunday was the challenge day for me. I unlocked exactly 17 achievements across 4 different games to get the job done.

I really can't see the Lakers getting by this younger and more talented Thunder team. I wouldn't bet my money on it happening, but I wouldn't be totally shocked if they somehow managed to squeak on by. The Lakers bigs need to play out of their minds for the entire series to even give LA a chance. If LA can steal game 1, I think the Lakers will win in 6. Big if!  I'm hoping for a rusty Thunder squad since they have been idle for 8 or 9 days now. Then again, I'd rather be rusty then dog-ass tired like the Lakers will be after playing seven grueling games in the first-round.

Episode 40 of The Gamerscore Popcast is up for your listening pleasure. Pig, once again, is out this week. All indications point towards him making his prolific return on episode 41. If you haven't listened to the show in a while, you should give it a try. It's evolving and the news section doesn't totally blow chunks anymore thanks to Rand al Thor 19. I also believe everyone is getting better after 40 weeks under their belts.

I'm heavily anticipating tomorrow's new releases: Max Payne 3, Battleship and Game of Thrones. It's been a while since I've been even slightly excited about a Tuesday release date. I'm crossing my fingers for Thrones not to suck too much ass. A little ass sucking, I can deal with, but full blown ass sucking, not so much. As for battleship, my expectations are on ground level with it. I'm wanting Rockstar to knock it out of the park with Max Payne. I'm a really big fan of the series and I'm interested to see how or if they have rejuvenated the series.
Proof that I have a Max Payne Fan Card
I saw The Avengers movie last night in 3D and all I can say is go see it for yourself to experience the awesome. Quite the epic moving going affair. Cindy absolutely loved it as well. I generally hate 3D movies with the exception to that rule being Avatar. Avengers, in my eyes, is totally worth seeing on the big screen in 3D. Hulk Smash the Box Office!!!

Stallion Doin' Work - Got My Game Face On

Kobe scored 43 points in a loss against the Nuggets on Tuesday night.

By the skin of my teeth, I completed the challenge by unlocking exactly 43 achievements across 7 different games on Wednesday.

I finally got to see what all the hype was about with Minecraft. A very fun and creative little game that I would play for countless of hours on end if I wasn't chasing down gamerscore glory. Easy to pick up and play, yet, it seemingly has infinite possibilities. It became the most downloaded XBLA for the first 24 hour period....and for good reason. I guess the 1600 Microsoft points didn't scare the masses away like one would think.

The Lakers play again here in a matter of minutes on Thursday night and apparently Mr. Kobe Bryant is sick. I'm just going to assume that he will play...always does when sick. But I'm probably off the hook slightly because I doubt he goes for 30 plus points. That leaves me with a challenge on Friday.

Pinky from Next Friday gets me every. time.

Stallion Doin' Work - Getting My Mojo Back

My mood today: Even.  which = happy

Only slightly unhappy because of an extremely painful hip. It's no easy task, almost borderline impossible, to jog or play Kinect with this injury. What's odd is that it actually feels better when I'm standing up, but when I lay down the pain is crazy depending on the way my body is positioned.

I've also been spending more time on my Xbox than usual. That's cray! Right? Lets see how long this will last for.

A swift update today since I still need to get some reps in and take a shower before the Lakers game tonight.

On Sunday night Kobe scored 22 points in a Lakers win.

I completed the challenge on Monday by unlocking 25 achievements in 3 different games. (Mortal Kombat, Wordament, and Little League World Series 2010)

I've been mostly playing Little League World Series and it's much, much longer than I expected it to be. The full 1k will take no less than 20 hours but at least I'm over halfway done at this point. I don't love it or hate it, but I can't recommend it unless you are scratching and clawing for something to play, and in most cases, you probably aren't. There's better stuff for you guys to play, trust me when I say that.

Really looking forward to Minecraft tomorrow morning on XBLA. $20 is a steep price to pay for arcade games, but I want to see what all the fuss is about. The extra 400 gamerscore doesn't hurt, either.

Everybody and their brother is raving about how good The Avengers movie is so I feel inclined to check it out this week. Hopefully that happens because I do love me some $7 popcorn.

I think I got my gaming motivation back, but it doesn't hurt to search for more.

The Lakers play again tonight (Tuesday) which leaves me with a hump day challenge (Wednesday)

Stallion Doin' Work - The Price is Wrong, Bitch!

My mood today: Happy as a clam. I tried to play fetch outside with my cat but she was more interested in eating the grass And yes, my cat Miss Mittens will play fetch with any ball that has a little bell in it.

On Friday night Kobe scored 22 points in a loss vs the Denver Nuggets and that automatically makes this challenge last at least another day in the grand scheme. The Thunder are now waiting for the winner of LA/Denver in the second round, which will be a very tough challenge if the Lakers make it by the nugs.

I completed the challenge on Saturday by unlocking 27 achievements across 5 different games.

I also completed 4 or 5 games over the course of the last couple of days and the one I want to talk about is,  The Price is Right: Decades.

There are two extremely luck based achievements tied to the Plinko pricing game which is why it's so annoying and frustrating. Plinko is probably the shows most popular game since the crowd always cheers really loud when it's revealed.

"Drop it like it's hot" has to be done online and "Lucky Chips" has to be done in local multiplayer. Both are essentially for getting the plinko chip in the middle slot (beat ya to a "that's what she said" comment) 3 out of the 5 times. Just straight up luck based.

For "Drop it likes it's hot" I did get very lucky by unlocking it during my 3rd of 4th attempt without trying or knowing it was even my chip that was getting dropped like it's hot into the middle for the big bucks. When the achievement unlocked the first thing to pop into my head, naturally, was Snoooooooooooooooop.

I'm pretty (100%) sure I did the little Snoop Dance when it did unlock.

"Drop it like it's hot" being out of the way without much fuss, I still had to somehow manage a way to get  "Lucky Chips" to unlock if I ever wanted to conquer the evil Bob Barker game. In multiplayer it's not as easy as just picking whatever pricing game you want to play; you have to keep backing in and out of the game to get in the 80's decade and then you have to play contestants row just to see if the Plinko pricing game shows up. Sometimes you won't even get a game of Plinko to appear for an entire hour. On top of  dealing with all of that, once you actually get the game to come up, it's a complete crap shoot on whether or not you will get lucky enough for the chip to fall in the middle 3 out of the 5 tries. I cussed Bob Barkers name for 3 hours straight this morning while attempting this shit stain of an achievement. If Bob dies within the next two months, I will feel like an asshole for cursing his name. Don't forget to neuter your dogs and cats!!! Bob did teach us all that.

I don't normally get excited when achievements unlock, but when I do, I tend to scream this phrase. "The price is wrong, bitch!"

Kobe and the Lakers play in roughly 5 minutes on this beautiful Sunday leaving me with a Monday challenge. I'll predict a Lakers win and  Kobe scoring 35 points.

Stallion Doin' Work - More Than One Can Shake A Stick At

My mood today: Tired and cranky even after getting plenty of sun. My go-to sun soaking game of the day has been Civilization Revolution on WP7.

On Tuesday Kobe scored 38 points against the Nuggets in a Lakers victory leaving me with at least 38 achievements to get on Wednesday. Not quite the 50 I had wished for, but still a challenge none-the-less.

I ended up completing the challenge by gaining 40 achievements for the day in 5 different games. Two days down! Hopefully a championship run to go!

Speaking of the NBA playoffs, I think the Lakers have as good a chance as about 3 to 4 teams to win it all this year. Miami really doesn't want to see the Lakers or Spurs in the finals. Believe that! Since I truly think they have a legitimate shot, I pick them to win it all. But I wouldn't be surprised if The Spurs, Oklahoma City or Miami does win the ring. There's no reason why Miami shouldn't be in the Finals when the dust settles because the Eastern Conference competition is a cake walk compared to the Wild, Wild West. They are good, but lets get real. The East has been a joke for many of years now. I think whoever comes out of the West will be your NBA champion.

Kobe and the Lakers play again on Friday night leaving me with a weekend challenge day.

I haven't got much gaming under my belt so far today, only unlocking a few achievements in Mortal Kombat and Civ Rev for WP7. However, I recently gave a few mini reviews for some of the games I recently completed.

The Walking Dead Episode 1 for XBLA has 8 achievements for 100 gamerscore. It takes only a few hours to do and it's so worth the $5 asking price.

For the first time in episodic gaming history, I actually thought I was playing an "Episode" of a game. One that should truly be played for the experience and story. The decisions you have to make, and the pace at which you have to make those decisions, has you on pins and needles through-out. By far my favorite point and click game out there. TellTale games does an amazing job of getting you attached to the characters in a short period of time. Maybe why I like it so much has a lot to do with the mature nature and zombies, but it's real! Real as in, "Yo, this shit be real son!"

Rating: 8.7 out of 10

I sat on my above thoughts for a night before I jotted them down. Looking back, I might even bump the score up slightly. It's really that damn good!

Prototype 2 takes around 12 hours to 1k.

Graphics are not too shabby all-around, but the city is just drab.

Audio: Voice acting is good for the most part with some funny dialog through-out. At times, the dialog is so dumb, it's funny. Sound effects are right at the average level and the score leaves much more to be desired.

The game shines most in the game play department . It's oh-so- fun making anything and everything that walks, bleed! As you progress through the game you will unlock different abilities that will give you a plethora of ways to dispatch your enemies. Have it your way!

If there was a story to get engrossed in, I did not see it. There isn't enough variety in the mission structure or overly exciting in-game challenges to warrant replay value of any kind. Yeah, there are some collectables to be had, and thankfully, those are easy as pie to track down.

It's fun leaping, running, and flying around in the city like a boss on steroids, but that city is just too empty. It doesn't have the appeal or fun factor of the higher end sandbox titles currently available on the system which are much more deserving of your time.

Fun, but forgettable. And please, give us co-op or give us death next time.

Rating: 7.2 out of 10

I wrote this as soon as I got the 1k and I stick with the exact rating I gave it.

I also played quite a lot of Fable Heroes last night/this morning. Probably a lot more fun due to the co-op experience it offers, but I do not have many complaints. I really do enjoy the game but there are two things that I don't like: Having to wait for a level to be unlocked once the top 100 on the leaderboard gain 1,000,000,000 accumulative coins and the fact that it doesn't save the progress for the client in Xbox LIVE multiplayer co-op. Achievements and everything have worked fine thus far, but when I go to single player nothing is unlocked that I did online except characters and coins. No level progress..... :( I do love me some 400 point arcade games though. Hell, I may very well end up buying every single one of them.

Cindy and I are in the process of planning an escape to the mountains in the near future and I'm really looking forward to that. I still need to get after it (gamerscore chase) before we do go as I'm trying my best to put a dent into 800k's big ol' chunky ass. One chop at a time.

The new recording time for The Gamerscore Popcast is afternoons on Friday. Do you have something you would like to ask or say. Call us and leave a message! (424) 256-6512 There's still time for your voice to be heard on the upcoming episode.

Last bit of info is a deal running on Amazon that lasts this week for some headsets I've recently used and grown to love. The TRITTON Trigger, Detonator, and Primer Headsets. Trigger is $10 off, Detonator is $20 off, and Primer is $25 off. I would go with the Primer personally, but if you don't care about wires, the Trigger Set is the best bet for just $39.99. Best way to get the most out of your games without breaking the bank.

If you get a pair you should test it out on a game that features a killer soundtrack. SSX! And a very quality game to boot.

20:47 is when it really picks up on part 1. You can thank me later. :)

Off to watch more NBA playoffs, feed little Ms. Mittens (she is licking my hair as I type this) and hopefully get some more progress towards 800,000. 800K! Eight Hundred Thousand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: Don't punch fire extinguishers, they tend to hit back. A good lesson to live by for all walks of life.

Don't screw around with animals either.

Stallion Doin' Work: It's back! Playoff Edition

It's been a long time, I shouldn't of left you, without a dope blog to geek to (geek to, geek to, geek to, geek to)

Stallion Doin' Work is where I try to match Kobe Bryant's points scored with achievements gained the very day after a Lakers game.  (24 hour period to match) Just another challenge to keep me motivated and on track for my ultimate goal of 1,000,000 gamerscore.

Sunday Night VS. the Nuggets:  Kobe 31 points

On Monday I passed the challenge unlocking 34 achievements across 4 different games.

No one knows how long the Lakers will survive this years playoff run, but if they stay in the mix, this will at least be a 20 day challenge. Even if the they get bounced in the second round, the challenge will last for a solid 10 days which is good enough period to get my achievement juices flowing again.  I am crossing my fingers for the former since many of you know, I'm a huge Lakers fan.

Why am I starting this challenge again? I knew the tank was on empty the moment I got a message from someone with less than 2,000 gamerscore calling me out. " You aren't getting much gamerscore anymore. Why is that true?"

It's totally true. I stopped doing a lot of stuff related to my 1,000,000 goal and started enjoying the little things in life. I've been at this for going on 7 years, day in and out, with only a few breaks and vacations. At around 540,000 I contemplated giving it all up, but found a reason to dig deep and muster up the motivation it would take to continue. Up until around 700,000, everything was going just fine. Then I went into another self evaluation process knowing very well how hard the uphill battle from 700,000 to 800,000 will be. Even to the point of telling my girlfriend, "I hope you're busy all week, because I'll be." Instead of blogging or communicating much by way of text, I've used the Gamerscore Popcast to be my only line of communication besides my occasional tweets. Maybe that should change a little. In the past I was at my best when I was vocal and doing little challenges like this. It may suck every bit of life out of me, but it gives me bursts of all out gaming marathons.

I still don't feel like I can say whatever I want to say and I'm still wondering if there will ever be a time or place to do so. It's becoming a difficult thing to manage. It's not because I really give a damn about what people think or say, but it's the latching onto every word that I say. I get called every name under the sun and just have to let it float off my back like a duck out of water. Buy The Walking DEAD ON XBLA!!!!  Probably not a single one of you have experienced it to the degree that I have. On the flip, if I call someone an ass, they will try to gain recognition off of the fact that I called them an ass. As much as I love the internet, some people are just way too deep with it. I love communicating with like minded individuals, but all the other drama and little trolls just need to be eradicated like cockroaches. Another thing is, dealing with the wolves in sheep's clothing, which forces me to put my guard up at all times to keep them out of my way. I have a pretty solid bullshit detector and I'm good at reading people, so you may want to find someone else to prey on.

Over the last 6+ year I've been a shield of sorts to the gamerscore community. Mostly me taking all the flack, but in every interview I do, I'll try to shine a positive light on gamers and gamerscore hunters while everyone else is sitting back drinking tea and eating crumpets and unlocking their achievements in peace. It's not easy to change the views of others on a culture when everyone else is seemingly working against you. I'm using this goal or outlet to try and inspire gamers to be more at whatever it is that he or she wants to accomplish in life. If you give it everything you got, you have a chance of being the last man standing. It's no longer just about a score, it has evolved into something greater. When everyone wants to see you fail. you don't curl up into a ball and just take it. You fucking fight with everything you got. Not tomorrow or a week from now, go fight now!

"But it ain't about hard you hit. It's about how hard you can get hit...and keep moving foward"
Kobe and Lakers play in game two of the first round tonight. I hope he goes for 50 so that tomorrow will be a rough one for me.

Stallion Doin' Work: Days 20-26 - Going Strong Like Bull

It's almost been two weeks since I updated this challenge which is going to make putting this together an absolute nightmare. The thing that is rough with this challenge and keeping the blog up to date; I'm generally worn out the day after a challenge day because I am pushing myself more than usual, especially on the back to back days. I'm not trying to match Brian Scalabrine in points scored every other night; I'm matching the leagues leading scorer. This challenge is about twice as hard as I initially imagined.

Day 20-

Kobe scored 27 points against Boston.

Friday 2/10: Challenge day - At least 27 achievements needed

Finished up Toy Soldiers: Boot Camp on WP7 adding 10 achievements for 200 gamerscore to my score. It's nothing more than an easy gamerscore game in my eyes. It has very little substance and I don't even know how it got a green light. I was expecting much more from a title that is already established on XBLA.

BulletAsylum was a fun little title on WP7, perhaps nothing groundbreaking, but it plays well and looks nice. I unlocked 11 achievements for 165 gamerscore in that.

I unlocked 21 achievements for 400 gamerscore in Ace Combat: Assault Horizon. Most of the achievements in this game are unmissable and come with natural story progression. It's refreshing not having to blow up a certain number of planes or shoot a certain number of bullets, or dropping a certain amount of flares. Although, there are some multiplayer achievements that appear to take some time to get. It's decent but they are on the right path to making a really good flight game down the road with a few tweaks.

3 achievements for 135 gamerscore in Family feud: 2012 Edition

Total for day 20: 45 achievements - 900 gamerscore

Day 21-

Kobe scored 34 points against the Knicks The day I became a believer in the Linsanity hype. The kid can play.

Saturday 2/11: Challenge day - At least 34 achievements needed

2 achievements for 35 gamersocre in BulletAsylum

5 achievements for 100 gamersocre in Ace Combat:

12 achievements for 160 gamersocre in Ninety-Nine Nights II/EU

8 achievements for 100 gamerscore in The Price is Right Decades

8 achievements for 75 gamerscore in Splinter Cell: Conviction for the WP7

Total for day 21: 35 achievements - 470 gamerscore

Day 22-

Kobe scored 27 points against the Raptors

Monday 2/13: Challenge day - At least 27 achievements needed

11 achievements for 345 gamerscore in LOTR: War in the North. Excellent co-op game. Go grab some buddies and chop it up.

17 achievements for 175 gamerscore in BattleWagon. There was a patch to fix the broken achievements so I decided to fire it up because of that but....The patch didn't fix it for me because the final achievement I need is glitched. I like completing games as much as everyone else but this type of crap always puts a bad taste in my mouth and turns me away from that aspect. It's been that way for years now. A lot of games are worth a try, even the crappiest of games, but when you're there for the end reward and it never comes, it's frustrating. I guess I could just suck it up, delete the save, and try from the top. But there's a chance I'll get the same end result and I would rather not waste another second of my time on such a thing.

Total for day 22: 28 achievements - 520 gamerscore

Day 23-

Kobe scored a measly 10 points against the Hawks

Wednesday: 2/15: Challenge Day - At least 10 achievements needed

14 achievements for 360 gamerscore

Total for day 23: 14 achievements 360 gamerscore

Day 24-

Kobe scored 36 points against the Suns

Saturday 2/18: Challenge Day - At least 36 achievements needed

I was sweating this day more so than any other during this challenge. I just got it in my head that I would fail.

4 achievements for 40 gamerscore in PDC Darts: pro Tour

1 achievement for 5 gamerscore in NFS: Hot Pursuit

2 achievements for 10 gamerscore in UFC Undisputed 3

5 achievements for 30 gamersocre in Chickens Can't Fly

23 achievements for 535 gamerscore In Grand Slam Tennis 2. A much better tennis offering than what I expected. The career mode gets really boring after a few seasons and the commentary is just so very repetitive that it makes you want to get all up in John McEnroe's face and yell and scream at him just like he did back in his heyday.

2 achievements for 25 gamerscore in The Price is Right Decades

Total for day 24:  37 achievements - 645 gamerscore

Day 25-

Kobe scored 32 against the Suns

Monday: Challenge Day- At least 32 achievements needed

3 achievements for 30 gamerscore in Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. What a sweet ass RPG! I didn't get as much time as I wanted in on this, but I was highly impressed with what I did play.

3 achievements for 75 gamerscore in Grand Slam Tennis 2.

6 achievements for 50 gamerscore in Swarm. A strange little arcade title that recently got reduced to 400 microsoft points. It's so-so.

5 achievements for 35 gamerscore in NBA Jam: On Fire Edition. I think it's much more polished than the retail version. More moves, more dunks, and slicker graphics. I wasn't expecting many changes at all, but this version is just flat out better in every single way. I hear it's long to get all the achievements on and chances are high that I will find out for myself. This one lives up the the name because It's on FIRE!

15 achievements for 350 gamerscore in The Price is Right.

Day 25 total: 32 achievements - 540 gamerscore

Day 26-

Kobe scored 28 against the Trailblazers

Tuesday: Challenge Day - At least 28 achievements needed

8 achievements for 255 gamerscore The Price is Right

2 achievements for 65 gamerscore in UFC3

5 achievements for 65 gamerscore in Syndicate. It's a quite good and refreshing FPS. That's expected since StarBreeze is at the helm.. I want to get more one on one time with it before giving a concrete opinion, but so far, I don't have many complaints. It won't blow your mind, but it won't turn you away. I'm just crossing my fingers for good co-op missions because the potential is there. Hopefully I get to try that later on today.

10 achievements for 100 gamerscore in Saints Row: The Third. That's all from the newest DLC that dropped yesterday, Gangsters in Space. The missions are based around making a movie so your character is placed into various sets. The director is always in your ear trying to get you to act out his vision to perfection, you know, the cliche movie director that has to be perfect and gets snippy with everyone not following his lead. Once you're in place for the "movie" to be shot, the visuals change to give you that grainy movie effect and epic movie music starts blaring. It's quite satisfying and funny side story. But...just like most downloaded able content, it's just too damn short. It will only last an hour...if you're lucky. I enjoyed it more than the last DLC, Genkibow VII, a lot more in fact.

5 achievements for 30 gamerscore in Junk Fu

Total for day 26: 30 achievements - 515 gamerscore.

I get a little break on Wednesday then another back to back on Thursday and Friday. Then a small break over the weekend since it's the AllStar Showcase for the NBA. I'm very happy about that because it gives me time to focus on getting my newest video done. That's going to take me a while since I have almost a terabyte of video footage to sift through. I'm aiming to have that completed as well as getting to 700,000 gamerscore sometime next week. That's the plan anyway.

Day 1: Kobe 37pts - Stallion 38 achievements - 805 Gamerscore
Day 2: Kobe 30pts - Stallion 32 achievements - 505 Gamersocre
Day 3: Kobe 39pts - Stallion 44 achievements - 1,035 gamerscore
Day 4: Kobe 26pts - Stallion 40 achievements - 1,145 gamerscore
Day 5: Kobe 48pts - Stallion 49 achievements - 1,260 gamerscore
Day 6: Kobe 40pts - Stallion 41 achievements - 906 gamerscore
Day 7: Kobe 42pts - Stallion 44 achievements - 790 gamerscore

Stallion Doin' Work: Day 17, 18, & 19 - Hitting The Marks

Sorry for being late again with posting the results from this challenge. If you have not been keeping up with it, you can find out what it's all about HERE

Day 17-

Kobe had a light night on Friday with 20 points vs the Nuggets

Saturday: Challenge Day - At least 20 achievements needed

I was on cruise control for the day.

I unlocked 22 achievements for 375 gamerscore in Steins; gate: Hiyoku-Renri no Darling.

I unlocked 1 achievement for 80 gamerscore in Soulcalibur V.

Total for day 17: 23 achievements - 455 gamerscore

Day 18-

Kobe scores 26 points against the Utah Jazz on Saturday night

Sunday: Challenge Day - At least 26 achievements needed

It was Superbowl Sunday so I wasn't up for anything long or taxing. I knocked most of the achievements I needed out before my head hit the pillow for the night in the AM.

I unlocked 20 achievements for 440 gamerscore in Steins; gate: Hiyoku-Renri no Darling.

I unlocked 6 achievements for 80 gamerscore in Ninety- Nine Nights II/EU. This game stacks about 5 different times. Not sure I could stomach it that many times, but I did enjoy my first go around. I thought it was slightly underrated in the grand scheme of things.

I really enjoyed the Superbowl this year, it was a pretty amazing game to watch. I'm also one who actually likes the expensive commercials on display as it tends to keep everyone involved in the spectacle that is Superbowl Sunday. Believe it or not, but most chicks are not really into football. However, some do like watching the commercials. I believe it keeps Superbowl parties from being complete sausage fests. Not judging you if that is your type of thing. Girls just generally smell a lot better than dudes...most of the time. So it's good to have them around as well. Speaking of sausages; make sure you listen to the next episode of the Gamerscore Popcast. One of my favorite songs Omega has made thus far will make it's debut.

The ratings for the Superbowl turned out to be the highest ever in American TV history. Not surprising at all. I personally think they should make the Superbowl a best of 3 series. Talk about a money making machine that would be.

Total for day 18: 26 achievemets - 520 gamerscore

Day 19-

Kobe scored 28 points against the 76'ers on Monday to pass Shaq on the NBA All-time scoring list which puts him at 5th all-time. I personally believe he will take the top spot in about 5 years.

Tuesday: Challenge Day - At least 28 achievements needed

The Darkness II commanded the majority of my attention for the day. I was hooked and focused in on it until completion on Wednesday. I would give it a solid 8. I loved every minute of the story even though it was on the short side. The gameplay is just flat out fun and over the top gruesome gore never hurts. The co-op mode was a slight disappointment, but it's still light years ahead of the crappy multiplayer that was packaged in with the original Darkness. Overall, I was thrilled with this game as a form of entertainment and an achievement game. The full thousand should take anywhere from 10 to 12 hours. It's easily the best new game I've played since November. I know that isn't saying a whole hell of a lot, but I think it's worthy of your time. I unlocked 18 achievements for 265 gamerscore.

I unlocked 5 achievements for 30 gamerscore in SoulCalibur V.

3 achievements for 80 gamerscore in Kinect Sports

7 achievements for 240 gamerscore in Family Fued: 2012 Edition

Total for day 19: 33 achievements - 615 gamerscore

Wednesday: Off day

Finished off the rest of the achievements in The Darkness 2.

Played a ton of Family Feud.

Another back to back challenge day on Friday and Saturday since Kobe and the Lakers play tonight and Friday. Almost 1/3 done with this challenge if there is no playoff run. 60 game regular season (I started 6 games in) and whatever happens in the playoffs. I think I can manage to keep it going until the very end. I would say this challenge has been a tremendous help in boosting my score, the sole purpose it was even conceived.

Stallion Doin' Work: Day 14,15, & 16 - Tardy Tard/GSPM Debacle

I sat down around mid day on Tuesday to blog about Day 14 and 15 only to find out that a shit storm erupted on the top of my and many others heads in the form of yet another GSL(gamerscore league) drama festival. Shocking! I know. I just want to say sorry to the podcast listeners who were looking forward to the intertwined goodness that would of been. The entire situation was completely out of my hands and I had nothing to do with it from the start or when it went to hell in a hand basket. I was kind of skeptical from the very moment phatal1ty told me about the idea a few months back. I so desperately wanted everything to go without a hitch, no drama, no bullshit. That is where most Gamerscore competitions generally fail as you can always count on these things becoming an epic clusterfuck of massive proportions. I guess some people live for having extra middle school like drama in their lives.

I do deserve some blame for not stepping up and telling Pha. not to use the podcast name. So many characters were involved and I knew it could of easily went down the tube since no sole person was in control...which it did. I guess even if we had not used the podcast name it still would of been pimped on the show. So I really had no control over it without just flat out saying no to the entire thing. I didn't want to be the one. Knee jerk reactions were made and now it is what it is. This isn't a side picking contest; both parties are to blame. Phatal1ty and Sasha butted heads on a few points, most notably the tag teaming rule that was in place from the go. You should not be in a gamerscore competition if you are two people playing on a single tag. Period! No ifs ands or buts about it. It's just not fair to everyone else involved. If you Tag team outside of competitions and for non-leaderboard positions, that's totally cool. That's your prerogative.

Gamertag Chad and Jessie, the community manager over at Trueachievements, thought she was doing the competition a service by joining up with a team. Rightfully so, but the gamertag clearly implies that it is two people on a single tag and it is. If you're the community manager of the site, why join if you know the rules to the competition is that no tag teaming is allowed? It boggles the mind. A service that she thinks she is providing to the competition instantly becomes a disservice. That's not hard to figure out. I'm not placing the lion's share of blame on her doorstep what-so-ever because as I stated before, both sides share the blame evenly, but you're causing a rift and you should not be an exception to the rules no matter what your title is.

It never should of went down like this, especially two days before the competition was suppose to kick off. As a collective podcast group I think we stood firm that it was either all in for tag teamers or all out. The end result was phatal1ty taking her ball and walking. Instead of mending fences, she decided to burn the bridge without getting our input on the situation. I was most disappointed with that.

It's all just a bunch of dork shit though. Children are dying from Mosquito bites in Africa and people have the nerve to start drama over the stupidest shit known to man over phone lines and optical cables.

I don't think the competition is ruined, so by all means, stay in it and have fun. It still should be a blast and I don't think the rule change compromises it all that much, but it does lose some amount of integrity.

Day14-

Kobe set the bar with 27 points against the Bucks on Saturday night.

Sunday: Challenge Day - at least 27 achievements needed

I'm having to dig deep into the archives to find these numbers....*scatters across the room...throws games, books, and papers all over the place...okay, found the book of archives: "Achievements n Things"*  *Glimmer of light reflects off of the book*

It seems as if I played TextTwist2 and Fragger for the WP7. TextTwist2 is scrabble and Fragger seems like Worms light but with only a single weapon at your disposal; a hand grenade. I played Crash Time II EU or what's known as Autobahn Polizei in America. There's all of three people that know what I'm talking about because the game sold like MC Hammer CD's in the mid 90's. It goes by the full name of Crash Time 2: Burning Wheels but I refer to it as Crash Time 2: Burning itch in your pants. This is my second tango with Crash Time II and how I long for it to be over. The first time was a much better experience once I got over the fact that it is a steamy turd of a game. I currently feel like a tortoise stuck in molasses when I play it, just so bored. I unlocked 11 achievements for 233 gamerscore in CT2. 11 achievements for 75 gamerscore in Fragger. 5 achievements for 27 gamerscore in  TextTwist2.

Pretty weak sauce day overall. I hang my head in disgust.

Total for day 14: 27 achievements - 335 gamerscore (my worst gamerscore output so far during this challenge) (And this time it's facts)

Day 15-
Kobe drops 35 on the Timberwolves Sunday night

Monday: Challenge Day - at least 35 achievements needed

*Gets the book back out*

Hmmmmm... interesting. More of the same but more. Brilliant. I played the following: *takes a deep breath in* *speaks as fast as possible*

TextTittyTwist2, Fragger, Crash Time II:  It burns when I pee, Saints Row The Third, National Geographic Quiz! Wild Life, and Disneyland Adventures. *takes a deep breath out* *shakes it all about?* We had a little hokey pokey vs hokey cokey debate on the newest podcast. I promise you that I'm not crazy.....yet.

At least not this crazy:

I'd bet a large sum of money that Whitney Houston prefers the Hokey Cokey over the Hokey pokey. Just a hunch.

I already covered the three-sum that is TT2, Fragger, and Crash Time II, so I'll start off with Saints Row The Third. I purchased the Genkibowl VII DLC and I was not impressed with it at all even though I have a legitimate love affair with this game. Hell, I would make babies with this game without being trashed. I even gave it runner-up for GOTY and labeled it the most fun game overall.  But this DLC did absolutely nothing for me. I got my completion back, an hour or so of gameplay, and that was about it. I was actually relieved when that waste of an hour was over. After I beat the original content and got the 1,000 gamerscore points back in December, I sat there longing for more, kind of depressed that no game would ever stack up.(not that dramatic but it sounded convincing) It was hard to move on to another game since it was sparks at first sight. Maybe we drifted apart over the months and the long holiday season, but I hope that feeling I once had comes around as time goes by. I will never forget the amazing times we had and I wish you the very best.

10 achievements for 100 gamerscore in Saints Row The Third

6 achievements for 50 gamerscore in TextTwist2

2 achievements for 20 gamerscore in Fragger

7 achievements for 260 gamerscore in Crash Time II.

Nation Geographic Quiz! Wild Life is a PAL region only title. It's very much similar to the US exclusive National Geographic challenge only with a lot more content and much, much longer for gamerscore as well. It's a nice change of pace to sit down and work a puzzle with a turtle neck sweater on. Not sure why I imagine hardcore puzzle hobbyists to be turtle neck sweater wearers. I unlocked 10 achievements for 175 gamerscore.

I finally got around to getting some real time in with Disneyland adventures. It may be long, it may be a grind for all the achievements, but it's one hell of a Kinect game. It's top 5 in the Kinect catalog with ease. They must of finally unthawed Walt Disney to put his genius to use. The voice commands are built-in brilliantly and it just works so well when it comes to controlling the menus, the player movements, and interaction with characters in the world from a Kinect standpoint. It could very well be the bar for current and future Kinect games. Not everyone will like it, but if you can't afford a trip to the land of Disney for the fam, your little rug rat or rats are sure to fall in love with this gem in the comfort of your home.

I unlocked 9 achievements for 135 gamerscore in Disney.

Total for Day 15: 44 achievements - 740 gamerscore

Day 16-
Kobe scored 24 points against the Bobcats on Tuesday night.

Wednesday: Challenge Day - at least 24 achievements needed

I celebrated another year of life on this day. So that's good...to be alive and all. I do feel old when it comes to this game playing biz, however, I am still in my twenties, so I still have a little somethin' somethin' left in the tank. I'm like a worn down vet in the twilight of his career. At least I feel that way.

I think I did pretty dang good today.I started out with Jillian M Fitness Adventures with 2 achievements  and 185 gamerscore.

Briefly played SoulCalibur V and popped 1 achievement for 30 gamerscore. I like what I've played so far, but not enough to give it a fair shake. At this points it's not drawing me in like IV did.

And now for the Japanese bombs. I had these puppies lined up for the first week of the GSP marathon that was suppose to be up on running by the time you read this. I just decided to drop them based on everything that happened and the fact it was delayed a week. I just couldn't wait any longer. The buttons were popping off and I was about to explode.

Mud-luv 16 achievements for 1,000 gamerscore.

code_18 31 achievements for 1,000 gamerscore.

Ever17 23 achievements for 1,000 gamerscore.

Looks like I had my best day yet when it comes to this challenge.
